Partner (National/Central Quality Control-Valuation)
Odun name looms large in the hall of fame of real estate professionals in Nigeria. He is responsible for leading the National/Central Quality Control Valuation of the firm. An icon in Valuation, Odun has an unparalleled understanding of valuation in the oil and gas and maritime valuation in Nigeria. Many landmark valuation executions in these fields have his insignia. He has under his belt, 25 years experience in these fields. He is detailed, analytical and loves troubleshooting. This real estate impresario is passionately interested in strategic planning, and tactical delivery of resource management, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
As Partner in charge of national/central quality control valuation of Jide Taiwo and Co. Odun is saddled with the task of leading a team that provide extensive, local market knowledge based, documented quality control procedure that seamlessly integrates technology and human review for that industry renowned JTC insignia. And true to his passion, he has pushed the frontiers of JTC valuation standard further for the benefits of all stakeholders.
A product of the prestigious University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management, he kicked off an illustrious career in the real estate when he joined the real estate firm of A.C.Otegbudu and Co. as a Surveyor. He later teamed up for a brief stint with Mabadeje Estates Limited, from where he moved to Persianas Property Limited as Property Manager.
In 1995, He joined Jide Taiwo and Co. and rose to the position of head of valuation of Victoria Island Branch. He has led and executed innumerable valuation projects cutting across oil and gas, banking, industrial plant and machinery, maritime, aviation, agro-allied, public sector as well as construction assets valuation. He was promoted as Associate Partner in 2002 as a result of his dint of hardwork and later confirmed as a full Partner in 2005 with the responsibility of leading Victoria Island Branch.
He became the Partner in charge of Lagos Central Valuation in 2007, a role that saw him overseeing the valuation business of the six branches of the firm in Lagos. Prior to his present role, he was deployed to head the Facility Management of the company in 2011. He is instrumental to JTCís fast paced growth in this specialty.
Odun is a member of many professional bodies within the real estate industry. He is an Associate of the Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). He is also a registered member of Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) and the International Facility Management Association (Nigeria Chapter).
He presently sits as the Chairman of the NIESVís Employment/Industrial Training and Youth Service sub-committees as well as an advisory council member of the Nigeria Society for Prevention of Accidents (NISPA).
